Off the leash
Normal every day dog walkings usually involve getting the dog out of the house, walked down the street and through a bit of the woods. Sometimes one might see someone else walking their dog or jogging. It's customary to exchange a few words with them, then get on with your walking. Today was almost the normal dog walking experience. On the way back home I talked two a nice lady who had two almost well behaved dogs but behind her was a dog without a leash or owner. That annoying dog folloewer us almost all the way home. A dog without a leash that I don't know is a scary sort of dog. My mother would probably try to find its owner but me, I tell it to go home and keep on walking.

After a long time gone
It's funny what you miss when you run so hard that your legs begin to feel like jello. The smell, taste, sound, touch, and sight are all impaired. But something usually stops you. Be it the end of the road, a stop along the way, or a brick wall.
