Bitch

Only one more submission to read before I could vote for amaranth submissions. I began to read the last one, "She craves eating sour pickles... thekeepercreature for A.M..." I stopped "purple in hair" I stopped again. My heart began to race, palms sweat, stomach turn. Disgusted at what I had just read. The purple haired bitch strikes again. I thought about quitting Amaranth a few times after hearing her name but after reading her submission I wanted to throw up and then quit Amaranth. But I did nothing, I explained that I couldn't vote for it because of the bias and tried to ignore it moving onto my own writing.

Another day, another meeting

We blazed past minutes as we had done since SA started up again. We only had two voting members, one was always late, we had no choice. Rachel had nothing to say so Chris talked to us about MCCADA, SA elections, and the poster sale. All was normal until the new constitutions were discussed. Someone decided to start a Veteran's Student Association on campus, she described what they would do but CJ kept asking stupid questions. We've all been taught in school that there are no dumb questions but a questions like, "So how exactly do I plug in this toaster?" are pretty stupid. But everyone bared his comments and tried to explain things to him as best they could. The next constitution proposed was for the Contemporary Art Club. Our current Art club focused on older art techniques and while very important didn't suit the students needs. Everything made sense to everyone else except CJ who sat there looking like a deer in headlights. When we discussed the constitution he mentioned that we should have the club because "we need more butterflies in like art. What I'm trying to say is..." my attention span went somewhere else when he started talking, I don't remember much of what he said even though I'm the secretary.

Find someone

This wasn't how it was supposed to go. We all should have gathered around Bob's big moving van, Chris at the little lever that pulls up and drops the metal lift, Rohry telling people what to do. But it wasn't like that, Bob had a new van because he didn't have such big speakers so Chris didn't have to use a lift, and Rohry was no longer with us. We did get the giant screen set up all the same though but something was missing. The entire way to Popeye's we laughed and joked but was it forced? Chris had told Kayla that we had seven people apply for Rohry's job, only one of them male, what was that supposed to mean? What did it matter, we just needed someone to do the job. We just needed one more person. I hoped we'd find that person soon.

Tea shop

There I was with my sister-in-law in front of Teava. I don't know how many times I wanted to go into the store since my new found obsession with tea but there we were, right out front, I decided to go in. I stopped at the entrance where they had a display with two hot teas to try where we were asked if we'd ever been there before. I responded with a weak, "I haven't..." The clerk invited us in to sample the four brews they had out and we did so but then we were asked if we wanted any. Of course I wanted some, they tasted so good. So I told the guy what kind I wanted and he opened two large tins of loose tea to let me smell, after that I was jelly. He could have sold me anything at that point because it was not only some of the best tasting tea I'd ever had, it was also the best smelling. I dreamily listened while he explained the price, the sale price if you bought it in a tin and that I could also buy some of the raw sugar they were selling with the tea. The tea was expensive enough and I was clear headed enough to realize that I had some honey at home (I also had Bonnie there to let me know I had some honey at home). Then I was asked how I brewed my tea. Now I know nothing about tea, I have bags of tea that I let sit in a cup for a bit before I remove and enjoy. I also have a tea ball but I was having trouble getting the words out so Bonnie told him for me. The clerk then pointed out this neat tea brewing gadget that looked much like a tea cup all you do is put tea and water in it, let it brew for a bit, and put the contraption on a mug, the gadget drains the tea, tea leaf free, and leaves you with a fresh brew of tea. He told me the prices, which I didn't remember, and I got one of those too. The entire experience was quite intoxicating.

As soon as I got back to my brother and sister-in-law's place I decided to take some hot water and make myself a fresh cup of tea. It was the best damned tea I'd ever made.

Traffic

School was... school. I made it through well enough. I even got the minutes for SA finished well before it was time for the meeting. But after that was my trip home. Before departing I decided to call Paul, his phone rang twice before I decided that he'd still be at work so I decided to just go home. The only problem was the fact that there was heavy traffic going to my house on rt. 2. That was just as well because Paul would be home and I could always double back to his house missing the traffic on rt 3. Which I did and it was good.

List of things

I had never known life to be so... stressful. This morning I woke up normal time, switched out my notebooks so I'd have everything ready for Creative writing, and walked five minutes to my car that was parked far because of road construction outside my house. During my drive home I went down the list of things that needed to be done; Creative writing exercise, Math homework, and psych extra credit. When I sat down at my desk I booted up my computer and let people come in to talk to me. With my computer on I sat, staring at a blank word document half listening to what my friends were saying until I realized that I had forgotten something. My math notebook! I had forgotten my math notebook, I switched it out and needed to go back home to get it so I could have my tutoring session and get my homework done. It's a good thing I didn't live too far from the school.
