There I was with my sister-in-law in front of Teava. I don't know how many times I wanted to go into the store since my new found obsession with tea but there we were, right out front, I decided to go in. I stopped at the entrance where they had a display with two hot teas to try where we were asked if we'd ever been there before. I responded with a weak, "I haven't..." The clerk invited us in to sample the four brews they had out and we did so but then we were asked if we wanted any. Of course I wanted some, they tasted so good. So I told the guy what kind I wanted and he opened two large tins of loose tea to let me smell, after that I was jelly. He could have sold me anything at that point because it was not only some of the best tasting tea I'd ever had, it was also the best smelling. I dreamily listened while he explained the price, the sale price if you bought it in a tin and that I could also buy some of the raw sugar they were selling with the tea. The tea was expensive enough and I was clear headed enough to realize that I had some honey at home (I also had Bonnie there to let me know I had some honey at home). Then I was asked how I brewed my tea. Now I know nothing about tea, I have bags of tea that I let sit in a cup for a bit before I remove and enjoy. I also have a tea ball but I was having trouble getting the words out so Bonnie told him for me. The clerk then pointed out this neat tea brewing gadget that looked much like a tea cup all you do is put tea and water in it, let it brew for a bit, and put the contraption on a mug, the gadget drains the tea, tea leaf free, and leaves you with a fresh brew of tea. He told me the prices, which I didn't remember, and I got one of those too. The entire experience was quite intoxicating.
As soon as I got back to my brother and sister-in-law's place I decided to take some hot water and make myself a fresh cup of tea. It was the best damned tea I'd ever made.
