Much to my dismay my parents came back home from their trip to Pennsylvania. It wasn't that they were alive, it was just that they came home. I was over joyed to have the entire house to myself for almost an entire week. It was very relaxing to say the least but they had come back to bring yelling a screaming back into my life. Which they engaged in immediately.
"Get that out of here!" screamed my father, "I can't get through!"
I didn't hear anything out of my mother, what a kind soul she must be or perhaps a daft one.
After a few minutes of movement from the basement I heard some voices shout "Hello!" I said hello and continued to work on my online course work that was due at midnight. It was about this point that my mother decided to come up and ask me to help her being things into the house. Which I would have come down sooner but I was in the middle of a timed test, I couldn't just let it run with a few answers filled out. Once I was finished however I brought in everything that needed to be put upstairs as per usual and went back to my lap top to read while listening to music.
A disgusting combination of must and body oder moved from the basement down the hall which must have meant that my parents were finally going to shower after camping for almost a week. I was wrong. Instead my father chatted with his mother and father repeating the same stories of the week to each of them. My mother... I have no idea what she did, I suppose it had something to do with the television.
I heard my father describe how they had went to the Waffle House (Mmm House... I mean...) and decided to make some lunch. Which consisted of tater tots and fish sticks. So I contently sat on the couch with a book propped in front of my face and a plate of food on my stomach poking at some tots in between paragraphs. If only that fowl oder wasn't about...

It's in the waking
Thoughts and ideas whizzed through my brain. Time seemed to be a bit hazy in this dream. I was in the convention center which I assumed to be because of Otakon but of course it didn't look much like the convention center. And as with any dream I had to be abruptly awoken by my cell phone. After about five seconds of Fanfair from Final Fantasy Seven I looked at the name displayed, it was Seth. I then opened the phone and placed it to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked.
I received a click. Usually I'd just try to call back but this was the morning, I was infuriated that someone would disturb my 11 in the morning dream world. So I texted him asking if he meant to call Apryl. He didn't text me back until 9 that night.

Pointless distractions
It had been about a month since the war began. I hadn't uttered a word to my ex boyfriend since then. It certainly wasn't doing much to put out friendship back together. My attempts to push him as far from my subconscious was working really well. I had busied myself with a leadership retreat in Townsen which only sort of reminded me of the time we went driving around there for shits and giggles when he started to talk about his ex Jackie since she went to school there. A twinge was all I felt when one of the advisor's at the retreats name was Jackie. I listened to Kayla go on about how she didn't care about Shane anymore, I admitted my feelings for a certain someone to her. There was a lot of sharing going on. We watched House together. That's all I've been doing since the incident, I'd been watching House and keeping busy. I'd found that Hugh Laurie was my new favorite actor despite his age and mediocre looks. But I was nearing the end of the series and I needed something else to distract me from the person I'd rather not think about. So I checked out some books from the library; Hugh Laurie's The Gun Seller and Lisa Unger's Beautiful Lies. I started The Gun Seller first because I was beginning an obsession with Hugh Laurie that lead me to make a gaia avatar that looked like House. Everything was going fine until CAT and I were talking about our futures. Mine being that my only psychology research network was Kirk's mom. I love Kirk's mom, I love talking about her but the also kind of reminds me of Kirk, what being his mother and all. So I turned back to my book so I would be distracted for another few moments. When I turned the page whose name appeared?

The Airport
I checked the clock in my car for the millionth time. 12:15, their flight should have been there by them so I was just in time. As I walked through the skywalk I checked the time on my cell phone, I had a message from my father. He said that the plane would be late so I decided to walk around the airport.

Non-descript van
The four of us, Kayla, Erik, Rachel, and I walked towards the white van. We were finally on our way home after the crappy leadership retreat. Erik got to the van first hurling the back doors wide open. We threw our belongings in the back with Rohry's as I shouted, "Shot gun!" After we had all made it into the van we were off.
During our reflection earlier that morning I had told everyone that I had a surprise for the trip which I reveled to be a book of mad libs. Not just any mad libs at that, "Who Moved my Cubical? Adult Mad Libs." We all took part in the mad libs which had the themes; civic leadership conference, Uncle Wiggy's, and Revolution.
A few minutes after that Rachel was asleep, Kayla was sucked into a book, and Erik was on his lap top. The only thing that was left to do was converse with Rohry. I found it a challenge at first since every time I'd go to visit him during off season he wouldn't say anything to me until I left when he'd thank me for visiting. After commenting on radio stations we started to name every store that's within 5 minutes of Rohry's house which took up a lot of time.
It seemed like forever but after about an hour of driving we were back at school. Rohry dropped Kayla and Erik off by the offices while Rachel came to again. As we traveled around ring road to campus security we talked about girl scouts and boy scouts. I made mention that I met my best friend there. All Rohry had to say about that was, "But Rei, I was never a girl scout. I thought we were best friends."
"My best friend, you're one of my best friends in MD," was all I could say.
I didn't want to come down from that high.

Good morning
I woke up and checked my cell phone. 11:30. I thought about closing my eyes again, waiting for 12:30. I also thought about taking a shower, eating something, doing some more online class work, and watching more House. I checked my cell phone again, 11:45, I decided to get up and prepare. No one was around so I thought I was safe from having to talk to anyone that early in the morning. A few minutes after I started working on my class work I heard the door open and the most annoying sounding, "Hello." This meant my Aunt and Uncle were over for the viewing of my late great uncle Charles. I would have loved to attend but I had work in a few hours. I sighed and continued to work trying to ignore the idiot's outside my door. The only problem was I was very hungry since I had only eaten two granola bars for breakfast. There was only one answer, I had to open the door and get something to eat. Step one was easy, step two...

Cite your sources
As I sat in my seat I half listened to my lecture. I knew that I would have to take the test at another time because I would be out of town. I would have more time to study, which ment more time to slack off. Everything was going great until I honed in on one subject.
"I use more text books than the one we have in class to present the lecture," my professor began, "the tests from now on will be based on the lecutre rather than the text. If I didn't have a background in sociology I wouldn't understand anything in that book. I feel that students learn better when I lecture them from different sources."
So began my note taking again. I feverishly wrote whatever was on the slide show until he stopped at one with statistics. He mentioned that we didn't have to write it down because we didn't need to know the numbers but I noticed that each statistic was a little far fetched so I asked him where he got his sources.
"Probably from the census buro, I really don't know." Was his answer.
I took it and went back to writing down notes until he got to an average. I know that there are three different kinds of averages, mean, median, and mode. People often feel that mean and average are the same thing and can use these words interchangibly but that isn't so. There are companies out there that will use this to cheat the numbers to make the statistics say things that really aren't there.
"Now the average," began my professor once again.
I raised my hand.
"Yes."
"Well, the average isn't always the mean, it could be the median..."
"No, the average is always the mean. When you take the median it's the middle number of a group of numbers. The average is..." I started to drown him out at that point so I didn't start throwing things at him. Maybe I could trip his pigeon toed feet. But alas, I did nothing of the sort, I just waited for class to be over so I could jet out of there as fast as possible.

The beginning of something new
(Before I start this, this happened at the beginning of my first semester of community college. I'm kind of going out of order because I can't think of anything worth noting that happened today. Just trying to make it less mundane and boring.)
Kelly, Karin, and I sat at the anime club table for the student activities fair under the trees in the quad. Trying our best to cut out some flyers and keep them from flying off the table we chatted about what was coming up for the year ahead of us.
Looking around at the clubs displaying what they'd do I made some mental notes. Psychology club, I'll take some candy and put my name down, I'm really into psychology AND it's my major.
SAAT, I don't care what people do with their lungs. CAB, I don't feel like joining a club that has a giant poster of Pirates 3 up. SA, they have bobble head pens, I'll have to look into this.
After sitting there for a while I decided to walk around to see what my choice clubs had to offer. When I walked up to the Student Association table I was greeted by Chris, a tall, important looking middle aged woman, who introduced herself as the SA advisor explained that the Student Association was a great opportunity to help out the school and have great networking opportunities. I quickly wrote down my e-mail address and name knowing that I would be able to meet more people if I did this. I also grabbed a few pens for my friends and I.
Psychology club had a tie dye banner on their table with condoms and candy on top. I picked up some candy and chatted with Christina, the president of the psychology club. Since this was my main reason for going back to school I gave her my name and e-mail address so I could join.
After a few good byes I went back to the anime club table to join my friends. When I got back I handed my friends each a bobble head pen. A few minutes later our friend Pat came up and we started to chat about something, probably anime related.
Out of no where a large man with rosy red cheeks and even redder hair came up to us holding a bag of those bobble head pens. He then asked us if we wanted any in a crazed voice and we all turned them down. He left as fast as he came but it left an impression on me, what a freak!
The day of the SA meeting came the next week. I got to the meeting room really early, the lights were out and people were singing happy birthday. Two other people came after a few minutes, we all just stood there wondering if we should go in. After what seemed like forever the three of us walked in and sat down. We were given information about SA and asked to come back for the next meeting to be voted into positions. It was kind of formal but I couldn't keep my eyes off the SA president. I'd keep looking at him, he'd keep looking at me. There was a lot of looking going on. I decided then and there that I would be a part of this club if only to get close to Mr. President.
When the meeting was over I was about to walk out the door when the red haired guy introduced himself as the advisor of the campus activities board and asked me to join. I decided I might as well.

The beginning of the end
I ran to Sentinel Hill as fast as possible to turn in a quest. All the while chatting to Kirk and Ryan.
"I didn't know you role played," I said to Kirk.
"Yeah I do," he responded, "if by role play you mean rippin' pussies."
"Lol, I don't think you could rip any thing being so small," I laughed.
"Eww, vaginas are gross," Ryan added.
"That's pretty much all I do is rip vaginas," Kirk continued.
"In this weird fantasy world maybe," I noted.
"That doesn't sound fun at all," Kirk started, "Mmm, rippin' vaginas."
At that point I had had it. I had heard the same phrase at least three times. I found it distasteful, disgusting, and disinteresting. If he would have said this one time I might not have lost my temper but he has a way of pushing my buttons so I stopped in the middle of Westfall to yell at my no longer beloved.
"I don't see how you could be ripping vaginas since no one ever stays with you long enough," I began to rant, "You know what, I'm glad you broke up with me..."
"I don't think anyone in this chat wants to hear this," Kirk warned.
"I was just down on myself because of Brandon. I just needed someone to hang out with. It didn't need to be you. I never loved you anyway." And then I was silent.
"It's a good thing that I have a fresh ignore list on this character," Kirk began, "and I can do this," he put kicked me from the chat channel and banned me from it. I assumed that he also put me on ignore.
I quickly switched windows to get on AIM, the last message I left him was, "You shouldn't go out with someone that you don't love, or that you just want to be friends with. It would save a lot of trouble."
Did I feel bad? No, I hated the guy with every fiber of my being.

My story begins
Thoughts and feelings ran around my head, "I'm glad I did this. Kirk is one of the most disgusting people I've come to know. I'm glad he broke up with me. How could I have continued to be happy with him? I know why girls always break up with him now." I don't know what time my brain waves slowed down but I eventually got to sleep.
My cell phone woke me up with a jolt. Back to reality. My thoughts and feelings didn't change so I hit my snooze alarm. Another loud song jolted me awake after eight minutes. I wanted to eat some cake for breakfast so I lay there to try and wake up. Minutes go by and I eventually sit up, and climb down my later. After peeing I throw on fitted t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and my Vans sneakers. I looked at my phone noticing that I had a few minutes to guzzle down some orange juice and go to school, so much for my cake.
I was greeted by the sun when I opened the front door. The sun washed away all unpleasant feelings from my mind. In a few minutes I was on in my car and on the road. With my foot on the gas petal I was flying by. Cool morning air rushed through the window on my face, the sun shone on the windshield. Music poured out of my open windows. In twenty short minutes I was at my destination, the community college.
I knew I would be late to class so I walked briskly. Class had not really started yet so I had some time to settle in my seat. We took a test, quiz, and break. During this break I walked to the Campus Activities Board lounge to hang out for a half an hour to talk to some friends online. I was able to read Kitty's blog, check my face book, and post on Gaiaonline. My facebook had a message from Apryl saying that I didn't have to come to the party if I didn't want to. I responded by saying that I really wanted to come but I didn't want to see some people. After my thirty minutes were up I walked back to class.
Staying awake was really hard. I felt an emptiness in my stomach. Our second break couldn't have come soon enough. Once freed I walked quickly to grab a bite to eat but was stopped by Heidi. After chatting with her for a few minutes I continued on my way and purchased a burger and bag of chips. By the time I got to class it the lecture had already begun but I was soon engrossed in Sociology.
Another an hour and I was let out to finish my lab assignment for my computer science class. It took four hours and a few breaks but I was able to finish my assignment. Then I was off for my violin lesson.

Another new online journal
When CAT made a new Blogger I didn't want to make yet another online journal. For days I have checked her Blogger regularly to see just what she's been up to. While driving in my care I came to this conclusion, I can create a blog where I describe what happened in a day as if it were written in a book. I never post in this style. Usually I talk about my day and how crappy/ wonderful it was. So with this blog I present you with my boring, mundane, normal life. I hope that being able to write in this journal this way I'll be able to write better through practicing. There may be days where I don't have the time nor feel like writing but I'll try.
